T O P I C R E V I E WGemGemGemDo babies and small children feel major transits? For instance, if they have a major saturn transit at the age of 3 or 4, would they feel and learn from Saturn's lessons? Would Saturn even teach a lesson to someone so young? Would they even remember? What would hold more weight in the events of their life, the child's transits or their parents transits?Has anyone ever referred to children's transits charts? I ask this because my little girl is 3 1/2 yrs old and is a Libra Sun, Venus, and Mars all in her 8th House. Saturn is 3 degrees away from conjuncting her Venus, and will then conjunct her sun, then Mars. I feel like this is a lot of heavy conjunctions for a 3 1/2 year old to handle, especially all being in her 8th house too. I understand how tramatic this would be in an adult's life, and how it would play out for someone older, I mean it would probably be horrendous. But would it play out the same for a child?amowls*Some astrologers say that when doing a child's chart you should look at major transits for the few years of their life because that will impact a child's behavior a lot. Like, if natally a child does not have Moon conjunct Saturn and then Saturn does conjunct their Moon early on, they will behave as if they have it natally for the rest of their life. Others say that when a child goes through a big transit, they will experience it as a projection onto their parents.DeliveranceI think the heavy transits could show developmental milestones e.g. - cutting the 1st tooth, 1st steps, 1st words spoken etc......It could also signify changes in the family dynamic such as birth of a sibling, introduction of a pet or a home moveMuch like Amowls has said, I've heard that major transits are also reflected in the parents life.GemGemGemThank you for the responses! I'm going to go back into my past transits to see when the major ones were when I was a child, and if they coordinate with the milestones. Thanks so much!GlaucusI agree with both Amowls and Deliverance.I definitely believe that transits are relevant in the lives of all people, and so that would include small children too. Pluto's fellow Transneptunian transits figured strongly in my development which diverged from other children.for exampleI have transneptunian dwarf planet, Haumea in 12th conjunct my Ascendant with 2'10 orb applying. I was born with Haumea rising. Transiting Haumea was conjuncting my Ascendant during my small child years. I have transneptunian dwarf planet candidate,Makemake square my Mercury with 2'01 orb applying. It was squaring my Mercury during my small childhood years. I have transneptunian dwarf planet candidate, Quaoar conjunct my Sun with 2'58 orb, and it was conjuncting my Sun during my small childhood years. I believe that those applying transneptunians to my personal planets, points played a big part in my divergent childhood development as they made applying transits to my chart.Solar Returns could play a part. I had Sun conjunct Quaoar for quite a few solar returns. So was Sun conjunct Ixion (I have it with only 5 minutes of arc in my natal). Also I always have Solar Return Sun conjunct Quaoar and Ixion because of my natal conjunction. I had Solar Return Haumea conjunct Natal Ascendant for a few years too.lunar returns can play a part too. I have Moon square transneptunian dwarf planet candidate Varuna with 10 minutes of arc in my natal chart. I had Moon square Varuna for numerous lunar returns. I only included the hard aspects because they include significant challenges which can include traumas. I am going to check out the transneptunians solar returns in depth in regards to my early childhood.Solar Returns are supposed to be a forecast for a 12 month periodIt's logical to think that the natal chart could be a forecast for the first 12 months of life. ------------------RaymondSupporting the Neurodiversity MovementA Different Mind Is Not A Deficient Mind. http://people.tribe.net/4b0cf8c4-1fc3-4171-92d3-b0915985bf95/blog glamgem25Great thread...thanks for posting it!! MyVirgoMaskMan, when I was in my early teens I had t Pluto opposing my Mars. I didn't know it at the time, but I was ALL about that aspect. It came out a lot. Early adolescence isn't so awesome when Pluto hits hard a personal and prominent planet in your chart lol. I was running away from home, being very promiscuous, experimenting with drugs...and I realize this is all kind of standard fare for teen behavior, but it was like an extra serving of it. My energy level was always so high it overwhelmed people I know, overwhelmed myself. So yeah. They feel it lol.But being younger sucks because that energy is generated and there's no real understanding of what the hell is going on. You're dealing with a kid, and they are just going to act according to how they feel, not what is 'right' or whatever. Plus it manifests in events as well. So things will feel often like they are happening TO her, not just within her. The lack of understanding will manifest as external events, without awareness of the inner process.GlaucusMy Development diverged from other children in that I was late with motor skills milestones and speech/language milestones as well as things like potty training milestones. I wasn't speaking any words until I was 2, and I didn't walk until I was 1 1/2 years old. At 2 years old,I'd create my own sign language to help me communicate with others. I also experienced trauma when my mom was shot 2 days before my 3rd Solar Return, and I was with her at the time. I was living in a fosterhome when I was 2 years old with an elderly couple because my mom was in jail for a bit. My mother moved from San Francisco to Sacramento when I was 8 months old. By the time I was 1 1/2 years old, my father was out of our lives without a trace. My mother met my future stepfather (the only father figure that I ever knew) when I was past 2 and before I was 3. it was when I was 3 going on 4 years old, I was identified as having an auditory type of Dyslexia with problems with coordination/motor skills after testing with brain damage ruled out. I learned to swim when I was 3 years old too,and it only took me a week to learn. Solar Returns are supposed to be a forecast for a 12 month period
It's logical to think that the natal chart could be a forecast for the first 12 months of life.
